I do not care how ineffective he has been in the recent past as Rafiq cited as the reason for his exclusion. But, I do know, that he is the only spinner in the country, who at least tries to be a test spinner. He flights the ball, tries to give it a rip, and at least has the wkt taking threat, if you give him the close in field catching support. All others, including Raj, Sakib, Mehrab are one day bowlers, who will fire away at middle and leg all day in tests. Chief Selectors reasoning is laughable at best! If we are to hold 'ineffectiveness' as a criteria, Ashraful will be the first one to be left out from a test. Yet, we take him ( captain also ) in the team, simply because we think that he might just click based on his ability. Now, why is that any different when it comes to Enam? We know, he too at least has the test 'ability' without taking into account his immediate past record. He is more unfortunate because we are not giving him consistent chance unlike Ashraful, who at least gets the chance to showcase his 'ability'. Unacceptable..
