I am certain they know about 3/4 days match and 150+ follow on limit (they played in matches where we had some scare - County matches). May be they even know 2 day match 100+ follow on limit. The confusion may have arised that this being a 5 days international test, the law was not applicable. Siddons should have known then again he never played test.
