THANKS EVERYONE!

Thanks everyone for their valuable inputs and interactions which is what the forum is about.

Here some highlights of great fighting knocks of Rahim which deserves special mention here.

First Test, Bangladesh vs South Africa at Three Ws Oval, Nov 2008.

Mushfiq’s contribution: A Fighting 48 of 63 balls with 9 fours out of team total 153 in the first innings.

The next highest was Kazi Shahadat Hossain with 23.

Second Test, Bangladesh Vs South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion, Nov 2008.

Mushfiq’s contribution: A Fighting 65 of 86 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes out of team total 250 in the first innings.

He was the second highest scorer after Zunaed Siddique who top scored with 67.

First Test,Bangladesh Vs New Zealand AT BSSRAS, Oct 2008.

Mushfiq’s contribution: A Brave and outstanding 79 of 210 balls with 12 fours and I six out of team total 245 in the first innings.

He was the second highest scorer after Mehrab Hossain jr who top scored with 83.

First Test, Sri Lanka Vs Bangladesh SBNS, Dec 2008.

Mushfiq’s contribution a fighting knock of 61 of 111 balls with 7 fours out of team total 413 in the second innings.

He was the third highest scorer after Ashraful who top scored with 101 followed by Shakib 96.

So the aforementioned knocks clearly confirms Rahim as a one of the best reliable middle order batsman Tigers have.

He is a Great Fighter – a Grafter , Can stay at the wicket for long periods and build an innings.

As rightly pointed out by Bangladesh_sy Bhaiyya he can purely play for Tigers as a specialist batsman.

But as I said if we help him to hone his wicket keeping skills with a Specialist coach and with his good leading capabilities(He has lead BD under 19 to fifth position in the Youth World Cup held in February 206) he will be a force to reckon with in the near future.

Let us all help him to achieve that.
