no, i think a better statement would be that ashraful is the best of the "match-winning" batsmen we have. sakib, tamim, aftab (when he comes back) can all be matchwinners, and have actually won us matches against the big 8 teams. bowling wise, mash, rasel, razzak, and sakib can all be match winners.

but from the batting dept, ash has been the single biggest match-winner. his inconsistency, ad nauseum, doesn't change that. the same way tendulkar's greatness is only slightly hampered by his 4th innings choke record.

its not a slight against any of the other guys on the team, there are some other match winners, but they haven't produced either the quantity or calibre of match winning knocks that ash has (overseas, in world cups, against current world #1s, etc). this is very reason why he's loved and hated so much.
