Camry/ Accord/ CRV for less than $4000? Dont do it. Even if you're in upstate NY. These cars should be going for $8000-$13000 depending on mileage & condition, for models from 2002 onwards. Unless you know a bit about cars, you can easily land a lemon for $4000 if its a Japanese brand.
Fords, Chevies and Chryslers at your price range will be newer, but can turn out to be quite unreliable.
