Once we start to allow such environmental concerns to alter the schedule, we won't be able to stop seeing other conditions to be just as problematic whenever we lose. Other test playing nations may also start doing the same thing and all of this may lead to chaos. All because we'd rather not man up.
Dealing with a wide variety of conditions is one of the things that make international cricket interesting. Adapting to those conditions and trying to overcome them with smart tactical adjustments work better unless everyone decides to play in environmentally controlled domes.
