I think part of the problem is that they don't know how to bat with each other. This includes running between the wickets, realizing the strengths and weaknesses of the partner to the bowling that is going on and rotating strike likewise.

I think the whole learning process is flawed to begin with. Its like teaching a basketball player to shoot but not bother to teach him passing or dribble.
