Utpal Shuvro is a wonderful professional journalist in the not-so-long Bangladesh cricket history. His abundance in intellectual foresight, sports insight, wit, and humor in his endless, relentless and splendid writing on Bangladesh cricket is simply mesmerizing and being recognized in and abroad with a wonder. But his journey at the beginning was not for ‘granted’ and smooth when Bangladesh cricket was just blooming.
Utpal Shuvro went through some challenging situations in the early days of Bangladesh cricket but because of his firm determination and love for his country and cricket, he is still there with splendor and glory where he started his journey as a ‘power sports journalist’ – he never changed as a true patriot.
He never backed off either and put his country down even when some foreign sports journalists threw some cheap comments on slow but steadily developing Bangladesh cricket on different occasions especially one in the Eden Gardens of Calcutta a few years back.
