America and Bangladesh are not in the same boat, if you are not aware. The US-UK and Bangladesh-India relations are hardly alike.
India was a big friend during 1971, but they quickly turned into a big brother. We are not ungrateful, but we were unwilling to take the role of a small brother. Right now, India has put dams on
all our rivers. Our market is flooded with Indian goods, but anytime a Bangladeshi good begins to get market in India, the Central government had the state governments put tariffs on them. This has happened with Lucas tires and RahimAfrooz batteries, among other items.
I am all for leaving in harmony, but the other side has to reciprocate. India did not, since 1972.
