Don't forget his age, he is allegedly only 24. Yes he's failed (repeatedly), but a cricketers anywhere else in the world would be fortunate to play 10 test by by the age of 24 rather than 50. Comparisons with Afridi are unfair, he too started young but is much older at 29.
Someone should give Ash a stern talking to, encouraging him to blossom without the burden of captaincy, to set an example to the younger guns. Then we'll see if he performs. If he doesn't make an impact with the bat in the Windies and Zim, we can consider his position for the next tour.
