Shakib cleared for SL
Sports Reporter

Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will be available for selection for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka as a bone scan on his shin done yesterday revealed 'nothing serious'.

“There was no major problem. There were some stress reactions and you know he has carried these sorts of things, so it's nothing serious. Shakib however has has been suffering from three complications (Exertional Compartmental syndrom, Tenoperiostitis, stress reaction), so he needs multifaceted management,” said BCB's sports physician Debashish Chowdhury yesterday.

“Shakib played the BPL matches without any problem, so we are hopeful but we need to discuss elaborately about all the reports and then we can confirm whether he will be available for the longer-version matches. We will also talk with Shakib. Physiotherapy and exercise will be his treatment and most importantly he will need to be used in a restricted and controlled manner,” he said, adding that they will also send the reports abroad for the opinions of foreign experts.

Seems like he will miss the Test series. He will be available for the ODIs and T20.
