if his domestic record is anything to go by he will be consistent, but harder said than done at international level especially when you grow up playing mainly on roads and then when you get selected you're expected to suddenly perform in bouncy, swinging, nipping conditions. although i questioned dhawan's selection at first i do have a good feeling about him.
