A bad news indeed. Sakib suffered a hairline fracture in his right palm and requires 3 weeks time before his recovery. Hope he will be well fit before Zim tour.

Dhaka, Dec 25 (bdnews24.com) - National all-rounder Saqib Al Hasan sustained a hairline fracture on his right palm during Mohammedan's Twenty20 league encounter against Brothers Union Saturday.

Saqib missed his team's crucial match against Sonargaon Cricketers Monday. His right hand was wrapped in bandage as he watched the game from the bench.

"There is nothing to worry. It's a minor injury. Saqib needs a three-week rest to recover as per doctor's advice," said Mohammedan captain Habibul Bashar.

"The doctor asked Saqib to take rest for three weeks as further injury could make the fracture serious," said Bashar. He hoped that Saqib would return to action before the start of the premier division cricket league on January 15.

Saqib felt better before the match against Abahani, but he started to feel pain in his palm after making a boundary-line save in BKSP ground Sunday.
