Best player in the country leading them. Dwayne Smith is a pro in this format, plays all around the world. Russell is one of the best upcoming players in the world. And then you have seasoned pros in Chanderpaul, Jayasuriya and Gibbs. The fact that they haven't lived up to their name is down to the management/captain and how they were used and not because they are bad players. The team didn't gel properly.
No I didn't say they are bad players.. it's just this form of the game is not suitable for some of them... You need at least 1 fearless batsman like Akmal / Shehzad/ Jamshed/ Imran Nazir / Hodge to score runs upfront.. Gibbs was excellent in Big bash but is completely out of form here and KRB doesn't have a better replacement for Gibbs.. Jayasuyia's form was not good for a while so didn't quite understand the logic behind this pick.. Now with Russel gone I don't see any hope for them .. at best they can post 150/160 and on a batting track like mirpur the bowlers can't do something extraordinary to defend that total.. They don't have quality fast bowler like Sami.. Fidel Edwards was a good choice but he is not there.. So how do KRB fights back??? They can do it only if Shakib can pull out his Superman performance and that's not gonna happen everyday
