Vaughan is an overated player, his struggles do not surprise me. He should open, he has over 2500 runs opening at an average of 50+ for god sake.
Flintoffs lost the plot with the bat, last year he was a mature batsman but is now almost back as he was playing stupid shots all the time.
Bell is having a baptism of fire. I think he will get better with time and end up having a successful international career, but I would personally much rather have Thorpe playing instead of him at the moment.
