The bigger question is if the injury happened in January why didn't he have the operation after that series ? Why did he let it drag knowing the busy and important schedule during the next 6 months of the year. He could have missed the IPL, I think he played lot of matches in the IPL this year. How come this escaped the attention of the physios over there as well, they could have told him to get it operated soon.
This operation should have happened right away , I don't know whose decision was it to carry on with this for the majority of the year
