Quote:
Nottinghamshire coach Mick Newell will work with the England Lions during their forthcoming tour of the West Indies, reprising a role he played in 2009 when the Under-19s travelled to Bangladesh.

Newell is highly-rated within the game having guided Nottinghamshire to the 2010 LV= County Championship title and built a side that consistently challenges on all fronts.

“Mick is one of the most highly regarded coaches currently working within our domestic game and his cricketing knowledge and coaching skills will be hugely beneficial to the England Lions in the Caribbean," Hugh Morris, Managing Director of England cricket said.

Mick fulfilled a similar role with the England U19s team during their tour of Bangladesh in 2009 and we are very grateful once again to Nottinghamshire for their help and support in releasing him on a short-term basis ahead of their domestic season.”

So, he has already toured Bangladesh with Under 19 team in 2009. He sounds good to me for our young cricketers
