IR is run by primarily Pakistanis. They are a NGO working in the field of Relief. They are in no way involved in any sort of religious activities.
Good to know that, but it really does not mean that he is becoming religious. They will primarily try to raise fund through their goodwill ambasadors.
So don't get confused.
