I doubt it. The problem is in the leadership in the team. Fair or not, and for whatever reason if the coach and the captain lose credibility and control of the team, its very hard to get back under same leadership. Unlike other games, in cricket, the captain plays a vital role in team leadership, besides the coach.
This happened sommany times in other team sports. When leader(s) lose control of the team, the only alternative is change the leader(s) in the team.
