Chief whip's son shoots at shopkeeper
A gang led by a son of Chief Whip Khondokar Delwar Hossain allegedly ransacked a phone-fax shop, beat up the shop owner and fired several rounds of bullet in the city's Armanitola area.

They said Paban (whip's son) got angry when the shop owner demanded payment for a phone call he had made. At one stage, he opened fire with a pistol damaging showcase glasses in the shop.
When contacted, duty officer at Kotwali Police Station SI Mahiuddin admitted the incident but said no case was filed till 10:30pm.

I am pretty sure nothing will be done for cases like this as this is a relatively minor crime (no one died) and he is ruling party's Chief whip's son. But if the government is sincere about law and order, they could pick up a case like this and show the nation that nobody is above the law...
but I guess I am expecting too much from them.
