England have been using this strategy of subs for a long time and it seems strange it hasn't be brought up before.
The use of specialist fielders is well within the rules and England are not going to change their strategy because Ricky said so and had a tantrum.
If he thinks the England bowlers ae going off and 'resting up' then that is rubbish and he has no evidence to back up these claims. The England bowlers take on lots and lots of fluid to keep them going and nip off for nothing but toilet breaks, the idea that they go off after
every spell is complete fiction anyway.
However, I don't think these players should get substitutes whilst taking a leak. But the question has to be asked - why are the umpires letting all these subs onto the field of play? They are the people Ponting should be having a go at, not England. It is just smart thinking from England if you ask me, South Africa were doing it as well in the winter.
As for this 'sprit of the game' stuff. Please Ricky, do me a favour. Talk about hypocrits.
