Bangladesh-New Zealand Twenty20 international to be held at the SBNCS
The Twenty20 match between Bangladesh and New Zealand scheduled on 06 November 2013 will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS). The match was originally planned at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium subject to receiving necessary approval to stage international games from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
However, due to the ongoing work at the venue in preparation for the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 the BCB has decided to shift the match to Dhaka.
BCB Acting CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said: “Our priority is to complete this important World Twenty20 venue ahead of the deadline given by the ICC. Therefore we felt that to ensure uninterrupted work at the stadia in Sylhet it was best to hold the Bangladesh-New Zealand match elsewhere.”
The Twenty20 match will be a day fixture starting at 1:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time.
