unless we go to second round or two other test teams get eliminated we dont have a chance to get ireland or a qualifier.

currently this how groupings are done

seed 1 seed 8 seed9
seed 2 seed 7 qualifier 1
seed 3 seed 6 qualiferl 2
seed 4 seed 5 qualifier 3

now remember only TEST PLAYING TEAMS are seeded. even if ireland or afghanistan becomes runners up they will not be seeded unless they get test status. they will have to play qulifiers again

so currently we have nine test playing teams. so if BD fails to go to second round and all other eight test teams go to second round BD becomes ninth.

again let BD qualifies and also another 7 test teams. so only pak or aus dont qualify. so either pak or aus is now 9th. now depending on results of second round we may finish 1st to 8th. but if we finish 8th we again play 1st and 9th which are two test teams.

but if we finish 2nd-7th we will have a chance to play a qualifier.

the only way we can finish 7th without not progressing to second round is if teo other test teams dont qualify. as for example england (guess beaten by ireland yesterday)and sa (beaten by afghans) dont qualify. so only 6 test teems qualify and they will be ranked 1-6.

then bd england and sa will be 7th 8th 9th depending on points, .

i think its look likes we will be again we will be in a tough group.

NB. bd finished 7th in the 1st t20 WC. so they had india (2nd) and the ireland (qualifier 1) in the second WC
