That’s why there needs to be more A tours and quality coaching at that level. Currently the only way for anamul to get better is to fail internationally but try and learn on the job with national team coaches, and that’s only if he makes the squads, if he doesn’t he’s got nowhere to really improve. Plus it’s tough to improve when you are low on confidence which you are when you fail.

Domestic quality has improved but it’s still not at a higher enough level which is why we get guys like anamul who dominate domestics but get exposed pretty easily at international level.

That’s why I think it would benefit anamul and BD cricket if anamul was a regular in the t20 team because it’s the most suitable format for him atm (internationally) and he gets access to the top coaches.

I’m not saying he’s an amazing t20 player or anything but he’s shown a good strike rate in t20s at the international level and the team is still very unsure of players so can afford to pick some young guys and go with them so they get international exposure and international level coaching.
