Actually 8GB version of nexus was always $199. However, since they came out with newer nexus products they dropped 8GB version altogether, and 16GB version is now $199 even in google play store. They did introduce a 32GB version of nexus 7, which is now $249 and the 4G data enabled one is $299. The best of all is you can buy the latest nexus 4 phone completely unlocked, no contract for only $349
. Plus they have nexus 10" starting $399. If i were to get a tablet i would get the nexus 10...
