just look at the numbers, 38 test matches, batting average of 21 and bowling average of 35 and in ODIs 107 matches, batting average of 23, bowling average of 44.

bravo has a test batting average of 31 from 40 matches, he's got more tons and more half tons, his bowling average isn't as good as sammy's though, but it's still under 40 and he's got more 4fers/5fers.

russell has only played 1 test match, which was admittedly horrendous but he's got a really good FC record.

but sammy is pretty much picked as a bowling all rounder, he's the 3rd pacer a lot of the time, why not pick a russell who is a much more genuine wicket taking bowler, who can actually contribute even more than sammy can with the bat?

the ODI stats of bravo and russell prove they add more value than sammy.

what they should do, in tests at least is play russell as the 3rd seamer as a bowling all rounder, bravo can play as a batting all rounder at #6. ramdin the keeper bats inbetween at #7 and then your top 5 consists of chanderpaul, darren bravo, gayle and 2 others who deserve it probably picking from samuels, powell and edwards. they could really use sarwan. a top 5 which has gayle, chanderpaul, sarwan and darren bravo would be quite competitive as they're all 40+ averaging test batsmen.
