Ashraful, Shahriar lined up for A team’s tour to SA (only for OD)

Mohammad Ashraful and Shahriar Nafees are likely to join the Bangladesh A team for a tour of South Africa scheduled from April 7-29.

The Bangladesh A will play two four-day matches and four one-dayers during the three-week long trip.

Selectors are working to form a team for the tour and it is almost certain that Ashraful and Shahriar will make the trip.

They are, however, unlikely to play the four-day matches which coincide with the three one-day international series against Australia, to be held in Dhaka from April 9-13.

Ashraful and Shahriar are expected to join the A team for the one-dayers after the series.

Ashraful played two matches at the World Cup and scored 12 runs while Shahriar scored 42 runs in as many matches.

Alok Kapali, Shamsur Rahman Shuvo, Marshal Ayub, Subhagota Hom, Nazimuddin, Dollar Mahmud, Syed Rasel, Fazle Rabbi, Sahagir Hossain, Saqlain Sajib, Nur Hossain and Robiul Islam can make the A team, among others.
