I ve heard Aaqib Javed has done a lot of good work in grooming young Pakistani bowlers. But really havent heard much about Akram's accolade.

Those formally coached by him in the IPL seem to think so. He has also informally helped out a great number of good Pakistani and Indian bowlers with invaluable tips since retirement. Asif, Aamer, Irfan Pat'han, and more recently, Mohammad Shami come to mind right away.
