Yes Tintin, you are absolutely right. Compton used to bat at 4. Actually, when I was thinking of openers, I was also looking at the other batsmen, and since Compton's number 4 was obviously going to go to the Don, I was thinking of how to accomodate Compton as well. So I cheated and made Compton into an opener to avoid choosing between the others. Two birds with one stone you can say. And then I took it on from there.
But now that I think about it, with the lineup in front of me, I should have opened with Fredericks and kept Compton in the middle order in place of May or Hassett.
