I used to use one in Germany for most electronics items- TV, DVD etc..
I bought one used...don't remember the brand.
But to run my phone with answering machine, I used a very compact converter made by RCA. I think this is the product:
RCA Foreign Voltage Adapter Kit (AH260R)
