He should get the James T. Kirk Award for taking Brazil where no Brazilian has gone before. Brazilian forwards past and present, mediocre and good, have had bad games and tournaments but none was like Jô. I recall Adriano falling short of expectation and missing the net, or literally fighting with himself to receive simple passes. But Jô is unique in his lack of technical skill, sense of positioning, and the ability to finish. Never thought Brazil could actually produce a player of Emil Heskey or Peter Crouch's calibre.
