you can use BIMG tag (bimg = big image) to set a size for the picture. E.g.

[bimg=http://www.tiger-pictures.net/sumatrantigerpicture.jpg]700[/bimg]
In the example above, 700 is the desired width in pixel. You put the URL after "BIMG= ".
