Also the qualification doesn't drastically change the team. If that was the case Gary Kirsten would never be appointed to a high profile team like India. Look what he did, he brought them to their world-cup glory. Then Andy Flower would never be appointed to another high profile England Team. He took them to number 1 position in test.
Finally look at what Duncan Fletcher did in India's tour to England. He is one of the most experienced coach in world cricket and very few knows English conditions better than this guy. Yet that didn't stop India from their getting *** kicked.
So its not only the coaches but a lot of other factors that goes into the progress of the team.
