Howard and his weird/creepy/lame attempt to pick up chicks gave the show a different kind of vibe. I agree. The outside characters now play a bigger role than they should and diminishes those of Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, Howard, and Penny. Occasional fine but now they are on too much. I do like Bernadette's character but I also want to see more of Leslie Winkle and dumb Eric.
I do enjoy Wesley Crusher's recurrent roles and the cameos by the the Star Trek TNG actors. Loved the one with Brent Spinner and the one cameo by LeVar Burton. I wonder if they can get Patrick Stewart to walk in one day.
But, the show has not jumped the shark yet.
