A bit off topic: I remember an incident from my childhood. My father would come home from work in the evening and find me watching cricket. He'd say in a firm voice "jao porte bosho". And I was like "please baba, Sachin bat korchhe!". My father would reply "tumi porikkhai fail korle tomake Sachin eshe pash korabe?"
On topic: I guess we'd all done some crazy stuff to watch our favourite team play, even more so in our teens. As for me, I got out 1 hour (and 20 marks of questions) early from a certain exam to watch the 2003 WC final, at the risk of getting killed if my parents found out.
