Default Sri Lankan younger pacers are much much better than ours

Sri Lankan younger pacers are much much better than ours. Do you know why?

Because when a Sri Lankan debutant bowler comes to bowl, they bowl very accurately and very straight - very unlike our Shahadat, Anwar & company.

It is very logical that we'll see star players like Vaas, Muralitharan to do well against any team including us with their vast experience in International scene.

But how come our pacers (or rather, all bowlers in general) can't be threatening enough against the Sri Lankan batsman?

I remember on our last tour to Sri Lanka, we were crushed by Dilhara Fernando's slower delivery along with a youngster Hasantha Farnando's accuracy in the One Dayers. But till date, no bowler of ours in particular did good against them. 2nd ODI vs SL in SL 2002

We can only remember Saiful Islam's name when it comes to bowling well against Sri Lanka. His bowling figures were the best bowling figures (of possibly 4/38) for Bangladesh in ODIs for a pretty long time.

And the only other 'memorable' moment that we can think of besides Saiful Islam's figures was Md. Ashraful's debut test innings. But that was while batting.

Talking about batting, I think Khaled Mashud is our leading run scorer in ODIs vs. SL and WOW Just see this:

BD MOST ODI RUNS vs. SL

Atahar Ali has a batting average of 50 in 4 ODIs against SL!

I don't get this, if somebody like Atahar Ali can have a One Day batting average of above 50 (where our average-batting average is just a shed over 20), then why can't all our batsman do better than what they have done so far?
