Papon decided to send a strong team to India. As a result the board had to delay the start of DPL. But the Eden Garden anniversary tournament was not even played at Eden Garden but instead moved to a local university ground. The run up area for the bowlers at this ground is very uneven. In one match, Taskin lost his balance and immediately felt the pain.
The selectors have been very careful with Taskin so far. They decided to not include him in the test series to keep him 'jhorjhore' (fresh) and injury free for next year's WC. But the worst fear came to realize when he was made to play in such a substandard ground for an insignificant tournament. So everyone is questioning the BCB president if it was necessary to send such a strong team in India.
