Sachin, Dhoni, Sehwag secure - Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble out

Quote:
The player auction for the fourth edition of Indian Premier League might have been postponed, but franchises have already prepared a list of players to be retained. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be retained by Mumbai Indians, but Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble have not been provided shield by their owners.

IPL is being seen as a hundred percent turnover business than a game. And this is proved, as franchisee owners are going for foreign players ignoring our own Indian players.

Ganguly becomes a stranger for Kolkata

Kolkata Knight Riders owner, ShahRukh Khan has decided not to retain Bengal Tiger Sourav Ganguly for IPL4. Instead West Indies player Chris Gayle will be retained.

Dravid-Kumble, a forgotten story now..

Royal Challengers Bangalore owner, Dr. Vijay Mallya has not included Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble in their safe players list. Virat Kohli will be retained for next season and its likely that New Zealand's Ross Taylor will also be retained.

Sachin's magic continues..

Mumbai Indians' owner Mukesh Ambani has retained his star player Sachin Tendulkar in the team. Sachin with hard hitter Kieron Pollard, Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga and Harbhajan Singh are being retained. Zaheer Khan has failed to secure a place in this list.

Dhoni irreplaceable for CSK

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will remain as the King of Chennai Super Kings. Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay and South African Albie Morkel are the other players who are safe.

Sehwag safe, Gambhir in line

Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag has been retained in the squad. Gautam Gambhir, Dinesh Karthik, Ashish Nehra or Dirk Nannes are expected to be retained.

Warne the King

Shilpa Shetty, the owner of Rajasthan Royals is likely to retain Shane Warne as the captain of the team. Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has also been saved. Excellent in-form Yusuf Pathan is also in the list of players to be retained.
