When our national team plays against any team I want them giving their 100% whether its against AUS or against ZIM... therefore I don't like these filtering....in reality we play more games to the so called weaker team, if we need to filter, we should filter performance against stronger team, not weaker teams....because those are team we will most likely play more in future based on track record.
But as I said, I don't believe in these filtering stuff as you can make a case to filter and slice and dice so many ways that it lose all stat value and minimum sample size and criteria.
For example people will start filtering based on home vs away games.... further more filtering based on a particular stadium.... further more pitch curator ... further more moth of the year....further more same players played against us .. i.e. for example NZ 2 bowlers (just guessing) only played against us this time as well as last time so just use partial stat against those players only... etc....
Therefore when we start filtering data, we compromise with its credibility.
