The decorated Thai star, a three-time Asian Tour number one, will be one of the main draw cards next week as he searches for his first win this season and a record 13th career title. A return to the Phokeethra Country Club will bring back happy memories for the Thai legend as he won the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open in 2008, just nine days after his second son, Kittituch was born. Having enjoyed a well rested week at home, Thongchai is now ready to put up a strong challenge against the best players from the Asian Tour next week.
Thaworn Wiratchant (Tha)
Thaworn could surpass compatriot Thongchai Jaidee as the player with the most number of wins on the Asian Tour if he continues to play true to form in Cambodia this week. The 43-year-old veteran has already won once and enjoyed four top-10s finishes this season and he looks likely to add another feather to his cap as the enthralling Asian Tour season heads to a close.
Anthony Kang (Usa)
American Anthony Kang enjoyed his best result in 18 months by finishing fourth in Hong Kong last month. Kang, who has three wins on the Asian Tour, is enjoying a welcome return to form and looks strong for a pole position in Cambodia this week.
Marcus Both (Aus)
The defending champion returns to the scene of his famous triumph at the Phokeethra Country Club and will be determined to repeat his victory again this week. After enjoying a tied-fifth finish in India last week, the 31-year-old Australian will be riding on his rich vein of form to secure this third win on the Asian Tour.
Siddikur (Ban)
The Bangladeshi made headlines for all the right reasons when he became the first man from Bangladesh to win an Asian Tour title at the Brunei Open. Since then, the 26-year-old had made most of the opportunities that came his way following his historic win. His two-year winner’s exemption took him to exotic places and lucrative events in Switzerland, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Siddikur has never failed to impress both on and off the course and he looks likely to continue this trend in Cambodia this week.
