I know under the current bunch he looks to be the best prospect to groom but a 40+ avg is too much to ask atm.

Agree with you. Just having a good hand-eye co-ordination will not be enough when playing in conditions where there is lot of bounce and movement. Footwork is a must. Even for Shewag- how many of his double and triple centuries were scored outside subcontinent?
