The plan against pakistan was to attack their batting line up and hence we played one bowler extra and had a long tail. The plan almost paid off untill Mash decided to give away 3 full toss in one over which made all the difference.
Against indians, what do you attack ??
They have a superior batting line up but weaker bowling compared to pakistanis.
Play an extra bowler and risk the non-wagging tail ??
Play an extra batsman to take advantage of their relative bowling weakness ??
Chase or defend ??
Right now, I say, play an extra batsman.
One Shafiul will have a less chance to make a difference in the battle between our bowlers and their batsman. But one Anamul could make a bigger difference between their bowlers and our batsman.
On a relative net difference, I think the batman will have a greater positive effect .
Our top order is wobbly and our tails is shaky. I think we should go with an extra batsman.
Mash,Shahadat, Shakib, Razzak/Sunny the 4 main bowlers.
Riyad/Nasir/Jahurul can fill the 5th one.
