Meanwhile final preparations are being made for the two internationals which are part of the Bangladeshi preparations for the ICC Champions’ Trophy in England in September. The visitors fly into Belfast on Friday and will practice at the Stormont Civil Service grounds on Saturday.

“These are important games for Ireland”, says national coach, Adrian Birrell.

After our hugely disappointing defeat by Scotland in the European Zone decider of the ICC inter-Continental Cup, the games will be a great opportunity to get us back on track.

“Remember, Bangladesh enjoy full Test status and good performances against them will reflect well in the eyes of the ICC. They will also serve as an important part of our overall preparation for the ICC Trophy in Ireland next summer
