Rabz - were you planning to use the tablet to present or were you wishing to plug it into a projector or big-screen? You can do both on the iPad and plus with iCloud you can keep all your devices in sync. You'll need
this to mirror your ipad onto a bigger screen.
But - if the meeting place has net access, throw away MS PowerPoint and go with a modern cloud based presentation software like the Prezi. After my wife showed me what she can do with Prezi - I'm sold. here are some great examples:

I am an old school techie but I prefer the iPad over ALL other tablets. However - I haven't yet to play with the new Samsung (the one getting sued all over the place by Apple) which looks to be an able competitor.
