There's a fantastic book on Arthur K. Blood in English available in Bangladesh. I've only skimmed through it but it effectively documents, through primary sources, his contribution to the Liberation War and his direct opposition to orders from the American Embassy based in (West) Pakistan.
I think we shouldn't forget Anthony Mascarenhas here either. He was a West Pakistani journalist of Goan origin who, at great personal risk to himself and his family, gave an interview about the genocide + atrocities occuring in the then East Pakistan to the editor of the Sunday Times. The Times ran an extensive report on it immediately, thus garnering world-wide attention. He also published two books on the war, The Rape of Bangladesh (1972) and Bangladesh: A Legacy of Blood (1986), both of which are easily available in Bangladesh and are essential reading for everyone.
