Razzak had his days-definitely. But he has never done enough to establish himself as a strike bowler a role which Rafique played. Shakib took over the mantle or the void left by Rafique. He still should be in our ODI plans and T20 plans as he is hard to get away with. All i am saying is he doesnt have enough variation and intelligence to be in tests.

Two key differences between Rafique and Razzak
1) Rafique used to beat batsmen with his intelligence guile. Plenty of variation-turn, arm ball, length and so on. Razzak mostly relies on batsmen making mistakes. Only time he forces an error is with his arm ball where he traps batsmen in front. Big difference in intelligence level and cleverness
2) Rafique was like a spinning version of Glenn McGrath. Very accurate, and didnt give anything away. Razzak will bowl a few good balls and then give some easy gifts, either one down the leg side or a long hop. So while Rafique used to build pressure, Razzak always gives away.
