If you were referring to the disappearance of this thread, the blame goes to me. I was on the iPad late last night (or was it the night before) and I was wanting to make the thread sticky. Love the Hemingway reference and the binary of "appartently/disappearance". Compare the word choice of "black-hearted" which was foreshadowed by "night" and also when then author deliberately fails to recall if it was a night before he/she is also surreptitiously adding to the lyrical weight of the last "reveal" of "fading eyesight" as a disability and it actually works for the post because we see a human element to an otherwise all-powerful, honcho of the "nefarious" moderator team. Overall, the exposition, the climax and the denouement flows well.
