From all sides people commute to and from gulshan in their chauffeur driven cars, clogging up the roads. Those who cant afford the cars travel on the Navana human haulers and the buses.
I agree. I grew up in Gulshan in my early age and we still have a home there. Now when I go back to Bangladesh its hard to distinguish between Gulshan and Gulistan. Looks and feels all same to me. My old Gulshan is there no more. Same is true for Banani and Uttara. Too crowed and conjested for my liking.

When I visit BD, I rather enjoy my time outside Dhaka. Dhaka has over grown last 15 years (or so) in a very un planned way. People try to grab every inch they can get from the street. The streets of Gulshan is so stretched out, bad shape and conjested its more health hazzard than streets of Gulistan for example. Same is true for Banani and Uttara.

If I ever go back, one thing for sure, I am not going back to Gulshan. It's like living in NY city.
