Be careful with Local buses when you travel to relatively remote area. One of my friends got robbed while he was there with his newly wed wife. He complained to police but no one seemed to help them. He said, local bus company, police and hijackers are all linked. Their aim target is foreign tourists.
So, please be careful while traveling to other cities than BKK.
