Akram would be great to inspire youngsters for short term clinics etc.

But BCB really need to tie up someone solid for a more long term role. Someone who ll work on a day to day basis. I ve written abt this in several posts. Sri Lanka's development in this sector is due to the hard work done by 4 individuals-Vaas, Ramanayake, Anusha Samaranayake, Nissanka. All high quality coaching personnel. When Ramanayake was in the BCB payroll he was the only one working, while Sri Lanka has 4. At present we only have Jurgensen who has been a flop as a bowling coach from the onset.

Would have really loved to see Bangladesh approach Grant Flower and Heath Streak. Flower could play the role of that batting coach we have been looking for in a while. Streak could fill the pace bowling role. Both are probably even more competent than Jurgensen even as head coach.
